Describe Gwyneth Paltrow’s aesthetic in one word: Pristine.
According to Daily Mail, followers of the actresses’ site Goop recently got a tour of her New York City apartment that she co-owns with ex-partner Chris Martin. The apartment has recently been put on the market for $12 million dollars — $2 million less than its originally listed price.
This family abode comes with a kitchen that Meryl Streep once used to cook Thanksgiving, a marble counter top and fireplace that are considered “modern and special,” and a swing in the living room made from an antique Indian door. It is a whopping 3,892 square feet and has three bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, a terrace, a marble bath and a library.
On her Goop site, Paltrow describes the apartment as floating “above the cobblestone streets like a pale, dreamy cloud.” Though this statement might not be how most people would describe a home they are trying to sell, it isn’t necessarily false.
Based on the pictures, the home feels very light and airy, thanks to the plush upholstery on the furniture, the open spaces, the abundance of light and the pale colors used throughout the home. From white marble to off-white shag rugs to the pink embroidered wall paper, everything in this apartment looks clean, cozy, and bright.
“Gwyneth saw how we could instead channel this ethereal palette,” Designer Robin Standefer said to Goop when discussing how she worked with the actress.
So, if you’re looking for a chic, soft, and utterly dreamy apartment in New York City, Paltrow is looking for a buyer!
