You wipe down your counters, scrub your sink and shine your stainless steel refrigerator like it’s your job — but your kitchen's dirty little secret is right inside your microwave. Busted.

What You’ll Need
Bowl (microwave safe)
Clean sponge

Get To Work
1. In the microwave safe bowl, mix half a cup of vinegar with half a cup of water.
2. Heat the water/vinegar mixture for 5-10 minutes. The dirtier the microwave, the longer you heat.
3. Keep the bowl in the microwave for a few minutes to steam.
4. After a few minutes, remove the bowl (careful, it’s hot!), then dip your sponge in the vinegar water and give your microwave a good scrub. By this point, the dry, hardened bits of mystery food and grease should wipe up easily and hassle-free.
