Jamie Dornan sheds a bit of his Christian Grey demeanor with a new look that definitely has people talking.

Dressed casually and wearing a pair of headphones, Entertainment Tonight reports the 34-year-old Fifty Shades Darker star was unrecognizable as he stepped out in Los Angeles this past weekend with a shaved head and full beard.

The new look has some fans wondering if the shaved head is a personal preference or for an upcoming role as E! News reports the Irish actor is rumored to be starring in next year’s Robin Hood with Jamie Foxx.

The buzz cut is certainly a departure from his signature character, Christian Grey who usually sports subtle scruff with luscious locks. But the character is nothing like Dornan who told GQ Australia that he’s not into that ‘Fifty Shades’ kind of lifestyle.

“It doesn’t float my boat,” the father-of-two said of BDSM. “I’ve always been open-minded and liberal — I’d never judge anyone’s sexual preference. Whatever gets people off is entirely up to them and there’s a million different ways to please yourself, sexually.”

While his co-star, Dakota Johnson has been known to fully support nudity in the film franchise, Dornan told ET exclusively about whether fans would see “more” of him.

“The truth is that I don’t know the answer to that,” he laughed. “You’ll have to wait and see.”

Fifty Shades Darker is in theatres Feb. 10.
