A couple canceled their $350,000 wedding last year after a family brawl erupted at their rehearsal dinner, and now the would-be-bride's family is suing, the New York Post reports.
Bradley Moss and Amy Bzura were set to tie the knot in October 2016, but things turned ugly at their rehearsal dinner when Bzura’s brother, Adam Bzura, asked to speak at the dinner, allegedly incensing Moss' father, Robert Moss, who became “inexplicably and angrily declared that Adam was not allowed to speak at the dinner," according to a lawsuit filed by Amy's father, Bruce Bzura.
Bradley's brother Michael then reportedly punched Adam in the face, and Robert tried to charge Adam but Bruce Bzura held him back.
“The rehearsal dinner ended in shouting and tears,” the lawsuit states.
To make sure Bradley ended things with Amy, Robert Moss allegedly threatened to cut Bradley out of the family business and his will if he married her. The suit claims that the Mosses also changed the locks on the apartment Amy shared with Bradley, and had “an off-duty police officer...accompany her to pack all of her belongings,” according to the suit.
In addition, Bruce Bzura is claiming that he was paying for most of the wedding and that Robert Moss had agreed to cover around $90,000 for guests of the family. Bruce claims that he never received his share, and is seeking payment, estimating the cost of the wedding to be $350,000.
Bradley also sued Amy last year for the cost of her engagement ring, which was a reported $125,000.
A lawyer for Robert and Wendy Moss called the suit’s claims “bogus.”
“We look forward to answering these baseless allegations,” the lawyer said.
