When Louise Sharp was walking through a shopping center recently, she didn't expect to have an encounter that would leave her with such a lasting impression.
Sharp shared a post to Facebook page Love What Matters to tell others her heartwarming story, revealing that she heard someone shout "Excuse me," so she turned, expecting to be told that she had dropped something.
"Instead a young girl aged 8 or 9 handed me a bunch of daffodils, a chocolate bunny and a note and said 'These are for you.' Completely thrown I asked 'Oh my goodness, why?'" she wrote.
"She replied 'Because you're special, and people need to be told they're special. And we all need to be kind to each other. So these are off me and my Granddad.'"
Sharp thanked the girl, telling her that she was very kind and special. She added that she had just read the girl's note properly, and wanted to thank her.
"Thank you so much Cassidy and Grandad," she wrote. "You have just completely made my day, if not my year you inspirational girl and I'll keep the note forever and look at it everytime I feel I'm having a difficult day. And you're right, we absolutely do."
Other Facebook users clearly loved Sharp's story, with many sharing that the little girl's gesture has inspired them to share a bit more kindness in their lives.
"Honor this. Pay it forward. Smiles and Hugs are a blessing to others," wrote one person. Added another, "She makes me want to be more kind to one another! Thank you for sharing."
