Texas-based company, Phoenix Foods LLC, has issued a voluntary recall of their Dip Trio Mix seasoning packets due to concerns that the products could be contaminated with Salmonella.
According to the Food and Drug Administration, a supplier recently recalled the jalapeño powder used in the flavoring packs. While Salmonella has not been found in the Dip Trio Mixes so far, the company is issuing the recall out of an abundance of caution.
This recall affects lots K110420161, K111220161 & K111120161, specifically involving the bag labeled "Jalapeño Bacon" that is contained in the box.
Consumers are urged to dispose of the product and contact the company for a full refund.
This latest recall is related to the same product that led multiple potato chip brands, including Lays, to recall their jalapeño flavored products last month.
