July 15 marks the 20th anniversary of Versace’s assassination outside of his Miami home.

Singer Ricky Martin and Glee’s Darren Criss will also star in the series.

The Ryan Murphy production filmed at the Versace’s actual mansion.

His killer was Andrew Cunanan, a 27-year-old college dropout. He was a murderer who killed multiple people in a span of states from Minnesota to Illinois to New Jersey in 1997.

The Italian designer was gunned down outside his home after he returned from getting a cup of coffee. Cunanan was found a few days later, inside a fancy Miami houseboat. He took his own life as the police were storming in to arrest him.
